I just read an article on the website AZBigMedia.com that stated Sun City zip code 85351 is number 4 and Sun City West is number 5 in the top 10 hottest real estate markets in Arizona in 2022.   I was just surprised that it wasn’t Mesa, Scottsdale or even Peoria. Some on the list are a little surprising but not all.

Last year, one-third of people across the U.S. told opendoor in a survey that they would relocate for a lifestyle change.  Arizona for most that move to Sun City and Sun City West certainly made a lifestyle change. and it’s not just geographical.  The Southwest and Arizona in particular can be a change for the people from the midwest and Northwest. I always say “it’s the sun, they don’t have it where they come from” that my be an exaggeration but in the case of Washington state, ot much of one.

Whatever the reason is Sun City and Sun City West are now and has been for many years a very popular destination for people moving to Arizona. With so much to see and do, who can blame them. The Sun Cities were built to be everything anyone could ever want in an active adult community, plenty of golf courses, recreation centers and clubs all for a very reasonable price and low taxes. They are also close to Phoenix metro area with all the activities of a big city. I guess it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Sun City and Sun City West are high in the top for home sales in the Phoenix Metro area.
